2. Collection and processing of data

You can visit our website without registering or logging in. Personal data will only be collected, stored and used if this is regulated in the following provisions and a legal permissible circumstance exists or we have your consent. The provision of personal data or the granting of consent is voluntary. There will be no negative consequences for you if you do not give consent or provide us with personal data.

“Personal data” are any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, in particular, name, address, e-mail address, gender, date of birth, telephone number, age and bank details.

3. Server log when you call up our website

When you access our website, standardised information is collected and stored. The automatically collected information listed below is collected and analysed for statistical purposes regarding the use and frequency of our site, the content primarily requested by users and for monitoring our site. We do this to improve our services and offers and to secure and optimise our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • Date and time of access,
  • Name and URL of the file accessed,
  • the website from which the access was made (referrer),
  • the browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer as well as the name of your access provider.

The aforementioned data is processed by us for the following purposes:

  • ensuring a functioning connection setup of the website,
  • ensuring a comfortable use of our website,
  • evaluation of system security and
  • for other administrative purposes.

The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR (DSGVO). Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes listed above. In no case do we use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about your person or your behaviour as an individual.

4. Processing of your personal data after contacting us

We process information and personal data that you send to us by e-mail (e.g. e-mail address, name, etc.) for the purpose of contacting you or in the context of an enquiry, in order to subsequently be able to contact you accordingly.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data transmitted to us via e-mail and used for answering and processing your e-mail is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence. 1 lit. f) DS-GVO.

5. Cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website in order to provide you with our services and website functions as individually and conveniently as possible. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain viruses, trojans or other malware. We use necessary cookies on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) DSGVO by providing basic functions such as page navigation and access. The website cannot function properly without these cookies. In this respect, the operation of a functioning website constitutes our legitimate interest.

6. Social media links

We have linked social media buttons from XING and LinkedIn (hereinafter referred to as “providers”) in our online offer, which forward to our profile stored with the providers in each case and are intended to enable you to follow us there. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. XING is a service of New Work SE, Dammtorstraße 30, 20354 Hamburg in Germany.

For data protection reasons, we have decided to design the social media buttons only as links to our respective profile with the provider. This means that no data about you is transmitted to the providers unless you click on the respective button. However, as soon as you click on the link to our profile, you will be redirected to the provider’s website. There, data will be transmitted to the respective provider. We have no influence on possible personal data transmission to the providers and personal data collection by the providers. Likewise, we have no knowledge of the individual purposes of this data processing or its scope and storage period. We also do not know whether the providers delete, generate or assign profiles or make data anonymous, and this is not within our sphere of influence. As a result, we are not responsible for the data processing by these providers and cannot be held liable for it.

7. Duration of storage / deletion

Your personal data, which we process on the basis of a legal authorisation or on the basis of your consent, will in principle only be stored for as long as is necessary for the purposes defined in section 4 or alternatively until the point in time at which the consent previously given by you for the processing of your personal data is revoked. Your web server log files (section 3) will be deleted by us after 3 months. We store the data you provide as part of the application process on our careers website for the purpose of evaluating suitable positions for you in our company for 6 months – after this period, this data and all documents provided with your application are deleted.

8. Data protection and data transfer

All our systems are password protected and only accessible to a very limited group of people. The processing and use of data takes place exclusively in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, in a member state of the European Union or in another contracting state of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. We do not pass on your personal data to third parties unless we are entitled to do so or you have given us your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DSGVO). We will only pass on your personal data to state institutions and/or authorities if we are obliged to do so due to mandatory legal regulations or official or court orders.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights vis-à-vis us:

  • Right to information (Art. 15 DSGVO),
  • Right to rectification or erasure (Art. 16 and 17 DSGVO),
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 DSGVO),
  • right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data with one of the competent data protection supervisory authorities if you believe that we are processing or have processed your personal data in breach of the requirements described here or applicable data protection laws. 10. Objection

Pursuant to Art. 21 (1) DSGVO, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data relating to you which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. e) or lit. f) DSGVO.
You can address your objection in each case to the person responsible (number 1). In the event of a justified objection, we will no longer use your personal data for the purposes in question and delete them from our system, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
